FFJ Home About Us T-Shirts, Tracts and Resources About Us

Fools for Jesus was begun by the late Rev. Gus Parris and is now being carried on by Jack & Joyce Hayes of Fort Wayne, IN. When Rev. Parris was a boy growing up in New York City, he saw an old man walking up and down Broadway & Times Square wearing a huge wooden sandwich board over his shoulders with the words, "I'm a Fool for Jesus" on the front and on the back, "Whose Fool are You?" From this idea, he designed a Gospel tract based on Psalms 14:1 - "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God'" with an invitation to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Jack & Joyce and their teams have distributed tens of thousands of the FFJ tracts in both English and Spanish over the last 10 years in festivals and fairs, on beaches, and in tourist towns around the world. The ministry has "sown seed" in Indiana, Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Panama, Aruba, St. John's, St. Martin, St. Lucia, and Spain! In their Hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana this summer, the FFJ team of 34 persons distributed approximately 5000 tracts over a 7-day period during the Three Rivers Festival.
